For dinner, the Gurney Drive is a popular favourite with all kinds of food available to suit each and everyone’s palette. If you have more exquisite taste,Batu Ferringhi is home to some of the most well known restaurants in Malaysia, namely Eden for asian dishes and seafood, and The Ship for a good western cuisine.

You will be delighted with the lot of night activities as Batu Ferringhi has a night market selling all sorts of bits and bobs. You don’t have to buy anything but walking up the street is entertaining enough for most.

The languages used in Penang are Hokkien, English and Malay. Other languages or dialects can be spoken here too but may not be as the first mention three. Most Penangnites are friendly so don’t be afraid to approach them for directions.
