Canada is a beautiful country with magnificent land from sea to sea. There are so many amazing places to visit in Canada. You may explore the spectacular Rocky Mountain, The Five Great Lakes, The world' largest waterfall - Niagara Falls, Little Paris in North America - Montreal, The World' Tallest Freestanding Tower - CN Tower and other attractions across Canada. One of the best reasons to visit Canada is to take advantage of the fabulous outdoors activities: hiking, fishing, whale watching, golfing, skiing and so on.

Must Do

1. Unlike numerous cheap budge airline options in Europe, Canadian domestic flights are much more expensive, so book flights when the two major Canadian airlines - Air Canada or Westjet have ticket sale (e.g., boxing weeks, Easter, Canada Day, Labour Day long weekend, Black Friday, etc.).

2. If you travel with large family members, you may consider rent a car from AVIS, Budget, Enterprise and National. Car rental price is quite reasonable in Canada. Try to book your car rental with credit cards with Collison Damage Waiver coverage.

3. Canada has no high speed train. Passenger trains are slow and expensive. If you are not comfortable to drive, you may consider taking trains between major cities in Ontario and Quebec. Greyhound also offers services in these two provinces, but not in Western Canada anymore.

4. Take advantage of for attraction discounts (e.g., Royal Ontario Museum)

5. Take advantage of Combo Ticket with discount (e.g., Columbia Icefield and Skywalk at Icefields Parkway)

6. Most Canadian cities offer a day pass for city transit (e.g., Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, etc.)

7. Some attractions offer senior and student discount.

8. Purchase online ticket for discount price (e.g., CN Tower).

9. Take advantage local attraction coupon sites:

10. Restaurant Discount Days:

- KFC (Thursday: $15 for 10 pieces chicken and French Fries)

- Boston Pizza (Tuesday: all pasta $12.99, Saturday: Medium Pizza price for the large pizza)

- Burger King (Wednesday Whoppers Day: $3)

11. Ottawa has free museum admission date every Thursday (e.g., National Gallery of Canada, Canadian War Museum, etc.)

12. Book Airbnb from the link below will save you $62 CAD/$43 USD/41 instantly for your first stay anywhere around the world:

Web resulAvoid

1. Avoid buying bottled water. Canadian Water has very high standard, so tap water is portable and safe to drink.

2. Avoid visiting Canadian National Parks on Canada's Day (July 1st) with free admission. All parks will be packed by crowds.

Canadian Attraction Highlights

The Columbia Icefield is located between Jasper and Banff. If you have never glaciers before, please come to visit to impressive glaciers in AB.

Big giant bus will take tourists all the way up to the Glacier. The height of wheel is almost same to our height. The cost of this special bus is $400,000. Some bus drivers are from Australia.

Lake Louise near Banff. I can not express the beauty of Lake Louise by words. A hiking trail around the lakes and up to the hill.
The famous Fairmont Hotel at Lake Louise
I have an oil painting of Peyto Lake in my living room. Peyto Lake is so beautiful. Regardless what angles you take photos, they look like postcard. Peyto Lake is a scenic location on the Icefields Parkway about 40 km (25 miles) north of the Lake Louise. Access to the viewing area for this magnificent area is immediately off the parkway and is well signposted.
